Central Texas Snow Day

Well, yesterday we had a VERY rare event. A SNOW day! This was Cole's first time to play in the snow and Kate's first time that she can remember. School got out at 10:30, we went home and played, had hot chocolate, rested, and played some more. It was an absolutely great day! The only thing missing was Oliver. If Daddy had been home it would have been the perfect day. Fort Hood closed early too, so he would have been home.

Oh well, next year in Kansas we will have more snow than we know what to do with, so there will be plenty of opportunities to play then.

This is the most snow they have had here in over 20 years, so I am sure it is the last snowfall of the season. We mill have many snowy memories to capture next year and then we will have our 4th family member back with us! We love you and miss you so much Oliver/Daddy!

Cole and his Cars

Like all little boys I'm sure, Cole LOVES playing with his cars! The other day he got especially creative lining his cars up along the edge of the couch. I decided to snap a few photos. This went on for over an hour, and he had a great time...Cole is sooooo PROUD!

Cheer Camp

Last Saturday Kate participated in a Cheer camp put on by the Harker Heights High School Cheerleaders. Saturday was learning the cheers and dances, and Tuesday evening the girls performed what they had learned at a basketball game. She had an absolutely wonderful time!

Kate at the camp. She got Most Improved Camper. This is the same award she got when she did the camp in the fall. I'm not sure what that means.Cole after the camp. Dream BIG little guy... I left him at home with a babysitter on Tuesday evening when Kate had her performance. I didn't want to chase after him the whole time.Kate getting ready to perform...This is Kate doing one of the cheers. She did 2 cheers and a dance.

Kate and our friend Haley. After the performance.
Afterwards Kate and I went and got some Yoyo's. Yum-O!
The camp is for Kindergartners and up, so considering she is only 4 and was the youngest by over a year, she did GREAT! She will not tell you she likes cheerleading, she will tell you she IS a cheerleader. Wish her parents luck for the future.
